Landscapes

This project integrates past versions of myself with who I am now by physically and conceptually layering images from different periods of my life. Rather than rejecting earlier versions of myself, I bring them into conversation with the present. By deconstructing and reconstructing photographs from my personal archive and my family’s archive, I acknowledge that each stage of my life has contributed to who I am becoming.

The act of slicing, layering, and reassembling images mirrors the way identity forms over time. Old experiences are not erased; they are reframed. Through this process, past and present coexist within a single image, symbolizing growth rather than replacement. The work suggests that becoming the person I am meant to be does not require abandoning former selves, but integrating them with intention, understanding, and care.
