In May of 2025, I met my dad in Spain to join him on his pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago. Together we walked the last 100km. Each morning we woke up at dawn and walked, every day for 5 days. Joining him on this journey, I was brought to the strange and profound realization that my father is a complex and nuanced human being. A person who exists outside the role of a father. A man who, at one point, was just like me.
This book is a reflection on not only the trip but the ever-evolving relationship and bond I have with my father. A man I have always and will always look up to.
